Location
Partial shade. Rhododendrons feel most comfortable in a spot where they have some protection from the bright afternoon sun. Ideally, it is a light spot with some shade during the hottest hours.

substrate
Acidic, humus-rich and well-draining soil. Ensure a soil that is rich in organic material and sufficiently acidic, so that the roots can breathe well and absorb nutrients optimally.
pruning
Prune after flowering: remove faded flower buds, this stimulates new growth and maintains a neat, compact shape of your plant.
Fertilisation
Fertilise between March and April with special rhododendron fertiliser for lush blooms.
Watering
Provide sufficient water during dry periods, especially in hot, dry months rhododendrons need extra water to maintain their fresh appearance and healthy leaves.
